Native Medium.com Publishing Integration for RightBlogger

Medium is one of the most influential long-form writing platforms in the world, with an estimated 180 million monthly visitors and over 90 million active monthly readers. It has at least 63 million registered users, around 1 million paying members, and is consistently ranked among the most visited sites on the internet. A recent review notes that Medium now serves over 100 million monthly readers and is used by nearly 100,000 companies globally. For writers using RightBlogger, publishing directly into that built-in audience is a natural next step.

I would like RightBlogger to support a native integration with Medium.com so I can write once in RightBlogger and publish or schedule directly to Medium without manual copying and formatting. At a high level, the integration would:

  • Connect accounts securely: Allow users to connect their Medium account to RightBlogger via OAuth, with clear permission scopes.

  • Publish and schedule to Medium: From the RightBlogger editor, let me choose “Publish to Medium” or “Schedule on Medium,” including: title, subtitle, tags, canonical URL, image creation and whether the post is behind the Medium paywall or not.

  • Preserve formatting and images: Map RightBlogger’s formatting, headings, links, and images cleanly into Medium’s editor format so the article looks correct on Medium without manual fixes.

  • Support publications: Let me pick whether to publish to my personal profile, a connected publication, or both, if Medium’s API supports that.

  • Handle canonical SEO: Allow setting the canonical URL back to my primary blog when desired, so Medium acts as a distribution channel rather than the canonical source.

  • Basic status feedback: Show whether a post has been successfully published or updated on Medium and provide a link to view it live.

This integration would let RightBlogger users tap into Medium’s large, high-intent reader base while keeping their primary writing workflow inside RightBlogger. It turns RightBlogger into a central hub for drafting, optimizing, and then syndicating content to one of the web’s largest reading communities, instead of forcing manual copy-paste workflows.
